Our Research

We offer the in depth, granular, asset- and product-level analysis which is essential for understanding if, how, and when, corporate decarbonization plans can be effectively implemented.

We focus on the core sectors that matter most in the transition to reaching net zero – including carbon intensive sectors in the areas of energy, transport and materials. These industries face significant challenges in reaching net zero, but feed into a wide range of products and services we rely on and which are central to the way we live.

Tim Nixon is Co-Founder and CEO of Signal Climate Analytics. He is an ongoing contributor to Reuters Sustainable Business and serves as a judge for the Reuters Sustainable Business Awards. He is the Founder of the Sustainability thought-leadership platform at Thomson Reuters, a member of the CEO Investor Forum advisory board and a Founder and Steering Committee member to the United Nations Science, Business & Policy Forum. Tim is a lawyer by training and has spent his career building change-leading products and initiatives.

David A. Lubin has more than 30 years of experience successfully founding and building world leading firms in the fields of corporate performance management, business analytics, and interactive media. David currently serves as Chairman of Signal Climate Analytics, who in partnership with Calvert and Morgan Stanley, are producing innovative research insights on how businesses, investors and society are responding to the new climate imperatives. David’s previous sustainability research has been published by the Harvard Business Review, the MIT Sloan Review, in numerous edited volumes, as well as special reports from the UN Global Compact, IFC/ World Bank, and Reuters.

He previously served as Co-Chairman and Managing Director of Renaissance Solutions, Executive Chairman of the Palladium Group, and Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of Spectrum Interactive, along with several other venture backed start-ups that he co-founded. He received his doctorate in Human Development from Harvard University and has served on the faculty at Harvard and Tufts University, and numerous charitable boards.

Cary Krosinsky is a leading educator, author of seven books and advisor teaching sustainable finance at institutions such as Brown, Yale and NYU. He is also Co-Founder of the Sustainable Finance Institute and Real Impact Tracker, and a member of the NY State Common Decarbonization Advisory Panel whose recommendations informed the fund’s Climate
Action Plan.

In 1983, Jack Robinson founded Winslow Management with the primary mission of providing green investment services to individual and institutional clients. Under his leadership, the firm developed a unique growth investing style and become widely recognized as a leader in the green investing field. Following Winslow’s merger with Brown Advisory, Jack worked as a Partner and the Head of Sustainability Strategies, as well as Portfolio Manager. More recently, Jack worked at Trillium Asset Management, the first American firm dedicated to SRI investing.

Bob Jenkins has over 25 years’ experience in the Financial Services and Asset Management industries having served in numerous executive and investment management roles at Fidelity Investments, in addition to time spent as a Strategy Consultant at McKinsey & Company. As the Global Head of Research and Mutual Funds at Refinitiv, Bob oversees the Lipper fund analytics business propositions and investment research functions, and serves on the Investment Committee.

Serving in policy, executive and consulting roles, solving the climate crisis has been part of Claudine Schneider’s’s DNA since her service in the U.S. Congress, where she introduced the first comprehensive, and only revenue-neutral Global Warming Prevention Act. In addition to many other activities since then, including briefing Margaret Thatcher on climate and leading a BBC climate film with Prince Charles, Claudine co-founded Energia Global, an energy efficiency and renewable energy company focused in Costa Rica, enabling it to become one of the least energy-intensive countries in the world.

Chris Mangieri is a Strategic Advisor of Signal Climate Analytics and previously Co-Founded Constellation Research & Technology. He is an entrepreneur and a co-author of multiple climate-related reports, including for the United Nations, and is an expert in climate data analytics, data integration, and sector-based decarbonization.
